Life Death and Rebirth

The Jackson Memorial Library will be hosting the program “Life, Death and Rebirth” at 7:00 p.m, Wednesday, August 10 th  and 17th at the library, 38 Main St. in Tenants Harbor. These two free public lectures will be given by Jungian Analyst, Alden Josey, Ph.D.

In those moments when the Self requires us to leave old forms of life and move into new expressions of personality, it acts as teacher and guide in a vast array of archetypal imagery portraying life, death and rebirth.  Consciousness is transformed as we pass into a condition of new beginnings.  The process will be examined for its archetypal variety and personal relevance in these two evenings.

Dr. Alden Josey has a private practice in Wilmington, Delaware. He was for nearly 30 years a research scientist in the DuPont Company from which he retired in 1985 to take up studies in the C.G. Jung Institute for Analytical Psychology in Zurich, Switzerland.  He graduated with the Diploma of the Institute in 1989.  Dr. Josey is affiliated with the Philadelphia Association of Jungian Analysts where he has served as Director of Studies, Director of Admissions and as President of the Association.  He is a long-time summer resident of Port Clyde and a familiar face in the Jackson Library.
