Local Artist Showing in China

The work of Katharine A. Cartwright, the JML Volunteer Curator of Fine Art Exhibitions, has been selected for the Shenzhen  International Watercolor Exhibition in China. This exhibition is sponsored by the Chinese government to encourage the exploration and innovation of watercolor and as a platform for exchange between China and the world. Nearly three thousand entries were submitted by artists from around the world and juried by an expert panel from Australia, China, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Two hundred and sixty artists were selected from fifty-four countries. Cartwright’s work, Fourier’s Law, will hang in the Shenzhen Art Museum from December 10, 2013 to January 10, 2014.
