Lean In or Stand up Straight?

Lean In

"Lean In or Stand Up Straight?" is the discussion on Friday, May 3rd at noon at the Library's Brown Bag Lunch. The topic is inspired by the recently published and much reviewed book "Lean In" by Sheryl Sandberg. In her 2011 TED Talk - "Why we have too few women leaders" - Sandberg covers the points in her book.

What is Pinterest?

Have you heard about Pinterest, one of the hottest and fastest growing social media websites out there?  Curious about what it is and how it works?  Come to the Jackson Memorial Library at 12 noon on Wednesday, April 17 to find out.  Samantha Cote, our associate director, will give us an overview of Pinterest, show a few examples on the website and app, and answer questions.  Bring your brown bag lunch (and your device, if you want to play along).

School Vacation Week!

Sticking around St. George for school vacation week?  Stop by the library for some fun activities!

Tuesday is Wii Day at the library.  Stop by between 10:30 and 4:30 and play a Wii Game!

Wednesday is Board Game Day at the library.  We have many board games, so come over and try one out!  Fun for the whole family!

Thursday afternoon between 3 and 4 we'll be making bean bags and egg shakers for use in story time.  This program is open to all ages, but because we'll be sewing, parental supervision for those ten and under is requested.  This is also Poem in Your Pocket Day! Celebrate National Poetry Month by carrying around a poem in your pocket and sharing it with others.

Friday morning at 11 we'll be having a dance party at the library!  Geared at the story time through early elementary age, come dance and sing with Miss Sam and use our new bean bags and egg shakers!
